What We Do

Nourishing the mind, body and soul is the goal of Kayotea Tea Room & Bistro.  With over 40 varieties of loose leaf tea to choose from and a full menu of items made fresh daily, you can't help but feel as though you've done your body a favor.  We make our food from scratch using all natural ingredients.  It's a difference you can taste. 

Our tea selections range from black, oolong, green, white, mates, herbals and decafs and are sure to satisfy most every palette.  So stop on in and relax with a hot cup of tea, play a game of chess or browse the internet with our free wifi.  Either way, you'll be glad you did.

Special Events

In addition to great food we also offer several different activities for our patrons.  Join us on the second Wednesday of every month for our Poetry Readings from 6-8 p.m..  Each month a featured poet will spend the first hour reading their work aloud and answering any questions or comments.  The second hour is open mike allowing all you budding poets to come in and share.  No reservations necessary, just come on in!

Starting in late August, we will begin having a weekly open mike night for artists of all kinds.  Please call or stop in for more information and to reserve your spot!  Beer and wine specials as well as our full menu will be available. 

Like all downtown businesses, Kayotea also participates in Twilight Festival every Thursday from 6-8 p.m. in the months of June and September.  Live music, dancers, food, folks and fun line the streets of our historic downtown.  It's a great opportunity to bring the family out and participate in the community.
